When you have been in a good relationship for quite some time, you might want to start a family someday. This can however be not as easy as it seems. You might be doing everything right, but somehow you seem to be unable to get pregnant. This is obviously not what you want, so in that case you might want to look at a fertility test. If you have been trying for a long time and somehow you cannot get pregnant, there could be some fertility issues. With a fertility test you can find out if that is indeed the case or if there is something else.
Fertility test for men
You probably do know about fertility tests for women, but there are also fertility tests for men. If you and your partner struggle to get pregnant, the chances are that it has to do with the sperm of the man. To be able to get pregnant, you need to have good quality sperm. This has to do with the amount of sperm, but also with the degree of mobility and how it looks. Is it looking normal or does it look a little bit different? All these factors can decrease your fertility and thus the chances of getting pregnant.
Fertility test for women
There are also fertility tests for women available. It could very well be that the sperm is not good enough, but the problem could also lie somewhere else. If you have been trying to get pregnant for a long time and it has not been fruitful, fertility tests might be just what you need. If it says that you or your partner are indeed not very fertile, that could be the problem, but if that is not the case, there might be something else you can do about it.
Testing at home
Depending on how comfortable you are about all this, you might want to take a test at home. Nowadays this is quite easy. Although home tests are a little less accurate than laboratory tests, you can often find out whether you are fertile or not with a fertility test at home. Another test you could do at home is for example a dna test. You could use a DNA test to find out more about your family or to see who the other parent of your child might be. This could be very useful in many different situations.
